1953

Foundation

The story of MONDIALTEX begins in 1953 in Verona with the establishment of a family-run tailoring business, created by the Pocobelli family. It specialized in the production of clothing and uniforms, as well as the trade of fabrics, shirts, and household linen. In the first twenty years of activity, the tailoring business experienced significant growth, employing over twenty seamstresses. During those years, it could count numerous clients among its ranks, including many officers and non-commissioned officers, including Americans, stationed throughout northern Italy as part of the Allied army.

1975

Professional linens and clothing

In 1975, Mr. Sirio, the youngest of the Pocobelli brothers, began to steer the company in a new direction. In addition to niche tailoring productions, the company started receiving orders for the supply of linen and professional clothing for hospitals, nursing homes, healthcare facilities, and religious institutions, extending its reach as far as the Papal State.

Expansion

In 1986, Mr. Sirio established MONDIALTEX s.n.c., which supports the family company, with the aim of specializing more effectively in supplying and bidding for contracts for hospitals, nursing homes, retirement homes, and religious institutions nationwide in the field of textile supplies, linen, and professional clothing throughout the national territory.

1997

From historic customers to a new market

From its historical clients such as hospitals, nursing homes, and care facilities, MONDIALTEX quickly expanded its offerings of clothing and linen to industrial laundries. By the late 1990s, these laundries had strengthened their role as intermediaries between textile product suppliers and end-users, such as hospitals and care facilities, as there was a growing reliance on laundry services within these sectors.

Mondialtex
2000

Leading international company in the sector

In the year 2000, at the beginning of the new millennium, MONDIALTEX, already known internationally, successfully implemented a quality policy for its products. It chose the most qualified international suppliers for raw materials and offered its customers recognized and consistent quality. This strategy enabled it to establish itself as a leading company in the sector.

2008

New items to better satisfy customer requests

Having solidified its presence in supplying the industrial laundry sector, MONDIALTEX found that its range of treated textile linen products did not fully meet the needs of higher-level hospitality operators. Therefore, in 2008, MONDIALTEX expanded its product range by introducing items made from finer quality fabrics such as satin, stripes, and smooth fabrics with combed yarns, as well as towels, which were not previously used in the healthcare area. Additionally, they expanded their range of table linens to better cater to the demands of the HO.RE.CA department.

2014

Expansion of warehouses

Due to the expansion of its product range and to meet customer demands for stock availability, since 2014, MONDIALTEX has initiated an investment plan to equip itself with new and larger warehouses located a short distance from its historic headquarters in Verona.

2018

Expansion of the historic headquarters in Verona

MONDIALTEX, as a complement to the investment plan initiated a few years earlier and after adding and setting up three external warehouses, has launched an intervention plan for the expansion of its headquarters in Verona. This plan includes the construction of a new automated warehouse, the expansion of the traditional warehouse and raw material storage, the enlargement of the cutting room, the creation of new spaces dedicated to packaging, and new logistics and loading/unloading areas. Furthermore, there will be an expansion of the office area with the creation of zones dedicated to customer reception, meeting and exhibition rooms.
